Prayer for Aceh

Meditate on Hebrews 10:19-25

19Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Prayer Prompt

The field workers in Aceh are coming together to fast and pray. There are several groups that meet weekly on different days to intercede for this land. There are also some “sacred spaces” (prayer towers/prayer rooms) established and some that are in the planning stage. We are asking you to pray, that the amount of prayer happening on the ground in Aceh would increase!

Pray Points: 

• Pray for the small groups that are meeting regularly to pray, that they would not give up meeting together (Hebrews 10:25) but instead would continue to press on. 
• Pray that the Lord would bring about an increase in prayer on the ground in Aceh, that there would be new workers to join existing prayer groups, and that more prayer groups would be started throughout the province. 
• Pray for prayer walks and prayer drives to increase. May the province of Aceh be bathed in prayer. 
• Pray for a boldness for believers to pray with their Muslim friends.
• Pray for God to raise up teams of intercessors to come to Aceh and pray.
