Prayer for Aceh

Asking God to do what only He can do in Aceh

Prayer Fuel

Day 27–Friday April 5th-  The Night of Power -

Meditate on Daniel 2:19-23

19During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven 20and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. 21He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. 22He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. 23I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.”

Prayer Prompt

The Night of Power is believed by Muslims to be the night when the first revelation of the Qur’an came to the prophet Muhammad.  Muslims regard this event as the most important event in history. So, you can imagine how they treat this night. It is said that prayers offered on this night are worth the prayers of one thousand months. Many Muslims stay up all night praying and worshiping and think that if they will ever have a revelation from God it is a high likelihood that it would happen on this night. Muslims may also ask God to speak to them through dreams or visions on the Night of Power. If you live in the West, your day is the night for the peoples of Aceh. Will you set aside some extra time today to pray for the peoples of Aceh to encounter Jesus?

Prayer Points

  • Pray that God would give many Muslims in Aceh dreams and visions.
  • Pray for a hunger to really know God that leads Muslims to ask Him for more revelation of Himself.
  • Pray for those who have had encounters with Jesus, that they would connect with followers of Jesus and begin reading the bible to discover Him fully.

Praying as a group?

Leading others in prayer is a great step in making disciples. We want to celebrate your and their faithfulness. For each person that prays with you, we will add 15 minutes to the 60 days of prayer committed so far.
