Prayer for Aceh

Asking God to do what only He can do in Aceh

Prayer Fuel

Day 4- Wednesday March 13th- The Battle

Meditate on Ephesians 6:10-17

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Prayer Prompt

It is important to remember who our battle is against. We are not praying against Muslims and our battle is not against Muslims, who are created in the image of God. The bible tells us who our battle is against. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12. So we pray against the spiritual forces of Islam and we pray for Muslims in Aceh.

Prayer Points:

  • Thank God that the blood of Jesus is enough for every people group in Aceh, and that He “disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in Him (Jesus)” Colossians 2:15
  • Thank God that He loves every Muslim in Aceh and does not wish that any would perish, but that all should reach repentance! – 2 Peter 3:9
  • We come against the spiritual forces of Islam in Aceh, in the name of Jesus. We proclaim Jesus’ victory over evil, and proclaim freedom to the peoples of Aceh in Jesus’ name.

Praying as a group?

Leading others in prayer is a great step in making disciples. We want to celebrate your and their faithfulness. For each person that prays with you, we will add 15 minutes to the 60 days of prayer committed so far.
